i think i'm turning japanese...

date 28/5 - 5/6
bought: Savers
brand: ???
size
: small
price: 5.99
colour: Jack White
why: because i live the way of the samurai

what a fitting post this would've been had the japanese defeated paraguay. but alas it came down to penalties and only one goal separated them in the end.

this tee has rocketed up the ranks of my ever growing collection and become one of my all time favorites, its fitted in all the right places and the design... amazing.

and now like the speech i won my 5th grade
public speaking competition with it is time
to ooooh and aaaah over all the grand and useless inventions that the japanese have given to the world

  1. chopstick fan (for cooling noodles)
  2. baby floor mops
  3. toilet paper dispensing hat
  4. chin stand (for sleeping while standing)
  5. the butter stick (like a glue stick for bread)
type chindogu into your google image search
it may leave you a little confused, it may leave you feeling a little used, it may leave you with more questions than answers
answers that i just don't have, or do i?
i don't know, maybe you should ask

i'm more of a playstation man myself...

date 14/5 - 21/5
bought: Savers
brand: pretty sure its not official nintendo
size
: medium
price: $6.99
colour: Richard B. Riddick
why: because they were all out of princess peach and bowser tee's

there is something wrong with this tee, something i could not put my finger on for quite some time, and then it hit me. its not that the colours seem washed out, its not that luigi looks like it says louie. its the way the mario and luigi are staring at each other, deep into those blue eyes. the posture, the gesture, a real je ne sais quoi that is seemingly wrong but makes this tee feel oh so right. thats why i had to buy it, thats why i had to own my own little piece of gaming history

people seldom comment on this blog, sometimes i feel i may be the only one reading it, so tell all your friends about it, especially those who love tee's so we can all share the love

coming next week... Killer-Lover tee... amazing

jessica alba wears a sweater for most of the movie

when i think ibiza i think: island, those pastey white poms, drugs. and there's nothing more english or drugged up than skins

date 7/5 - 14/5
bought: Savers
brand: www.nudeshirts.com
size:
medium
price: $4.99
colour: i hear 'into the blue' is a really good movie
why: because there is nothing like snorting lines of cocaine off the back of a $10,000 dollar a night hooker, and the best place to do that is... IBIZA and the best tee to wear whilst in IBIZA??? this one of course

another sweet savers find, up there with other purchases like the playstation powerglove or six minute abs or even the revolving aquarium lamp. there is no end to the useful and useless stuff people no longer want

i fear i may have lied to you, because i have not been told by anyone ever that 'into the blue' was a good movie... in fact i once met joss wheddon and he said that jessica alba was wearing a sweater for most of it anyway. that to me is a travesty
or a traves-tee
or travis wearing a tee

watch dexter or i'll kill you ...

date 30/4 - 7/5
bought: Savers
brand: dexter
size:
medium
price: $2.99
colour: BLACK like Barry White, not white like Frank Black
why: i saw someone in the city wearing this tee and wanted one, then to see it in savers, in a size that fits me, oh how the world looks after me

is it wrong to empathize with a serial killer? enough of this starting a family, i liked dexter more when he was a sociopath, not a family man.

so we're all about the month of may, we're well on our way to being caught up, and we're also close to the halfway point of oneteeaweek i've got some big plans for the next half, including special guest tee's and maybe even a look at some of my old favorites

Das ist fantastiggerish...

date 23/4 - 30/4
bought: Dangerfield Doncaster
brand: Dangerfield
size:
medium
price: $15 on sale (they wanted $40)
colour: are stripes and patterns a colour?
why: the colour, the pattern, the small little metal button, it's the details that make a tee
Spotted:
getting the guns out in ACDC lane

the story behind the tigger mask:
oft i travel to the meadows of broad to purchase some of the best value eats this fair town has to offer, near this shop of kebabs hides a toy kingdom factory outlet kinda store, yet more bargains to be had. they had a whole table of these tigger masks for only 1$ each. press a button and it says some of tigger's classic phrases, the only catch? they're all in german personally i think this adds value to the product, i'm not sure toykingdom see it the way i do. its fun & educational just like a good toy shud be

if only i knew what he were saying

A nautically themed pashmina afghan

San Diego... Drink it in, it always goes down smooth. Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means "a whale's vagina"

Ron Burgundy...

date 26/3 - 2/4
bought: Savers Greensborough
brand: sea world
size:
small
price: $4.99
colour: Aqua
why: this aint sea world! this is as real as it gets!
Spotted: getting a free killer-lover tee at next... no joke (you will see that tee later in the year)

killer whales and killer pythons a winning combination in any language... the kind of tee that dreams are made of. big ups to andy for snapping away with his madd camera and catching me in the act... of enjoying yet another amazing tee

i always wanted to have Christmas in Turkey

James Bond: I was wrong about you.
Dr. Christmas Jones: Yeah, how so?
James Bond: I thought Christmas only comes once a year.

date 9/4 - 16/4
bought: Savers yet again
brand: Peanuts
size:
small
price: $7.99
colour: i find it very difficult to care about the characters or plot lines in Grey's anatomy
why: because everyone in the world should own two things
  1. a picture of me
  2. a christmas themed garment
what ever happened to James Bond? casino royale was a huge step in the right direction but quantum of solace??? balls to the wall action, close ups, fast paced cutting... Bond movies were never these things, they were about scaling buildings, going into space and saving the world... all without breaking a sweat or creasing your perfectly cut tuxedo. where did the suave style go? the witty one liners? camille montes? i dont care who that is, she sounds like a librarian. what happened to names like kissey suzuki, pussy galore, honey ryder or tiffany case? if she doesn't have pornstar esque name then it just isn't James Bond...

or maybe its just me

trying to take over the world

with one-tee-a-week
who can refuse a pretty girl in a top hat? not me that's for sure, and neither could John C. Holmes

date 2/4 - 9/4
bought: Ebay
brand: retro style
size:
small
price: difficult to say
colour: wadd white
why: its a good excuse to have a girl in a bikini on my chest

so many questions... so much time to answer them
like why am i watching cops at 1am in the morning? why did some guy on ebay have 8 tees that he wanted to sell for $10? and how was i the only bidder... pretty sure i paid more in postage than i did for the tees and of course when you buy 8 tees there are the good ones and the bad ones to wade through... the good ones we keep the others we donate, back into the world that has served me so well

die young and save yourself...

not sure if i really get the whole fox/wolf thing in a forest but i do wholeheartedly approve of 'brand new' making more music

date 16/4 - 23/4
bought: 28/3 at metro or the palace or whatever it is now
band: brand new
size:
small
price: $30 i think? can't remember
colour: i take my coffee black
w
hy: because from what they tell me buying shirts at concerts supports the band

I have some friends who were quite jealous after that night. personally i think the performance left a little
to be desired but it made for a good night out. after the show i went to cherry bar to see those demons of the decks MC rhys tee and DJ (last song means LAST SONG!) zack abroms and obviously so did Vinnie Arccardi (lead guitar for brand new). star stuck as i was i walked over to request an autograph at which point Vinnie put my piece of paper down on the bar shook my hand and introduced himself and we proceeded to have a beer together. i got the autograph and needless to say the rest of the night was spent in rock star fashion, adventures at the california hotel with kettles and candelabras, a few of those "you had to be there" moments and a whole lot of party...

p.s. the california hotel is not a reference to the metaphorical hotel in the song by the eagles, it is a physical place. that is all

All Quiet On The Western Front....

i have been absent and absent minded, and like the last girl on your "booty call-girl" list this blog has not been touched in a month. but for those of you who know me this will be of little suprise

date 19/3 - 26/3
bought: Savers Greensborough
brand: oakley
price:
$5.99
size:
medium
colour:
white-ish, blue-ish, green-ish stripes
why: what is best about this tee shirt is not only its ability to combine colour but texture also, the green stripes you see are more than just a different colour, they are in fact an entirely different material

with its lapel pocket, multi-material-dimensional colour patterning and lets not forget about the tag strip (shown bottom right) this shirt was quite clearly made in the 80's... when everything was just a little bit cooler

this is a step in the right direction, i'm only 2 months behind in oneteeaweek but don't you think for a second that i haven't been buying tees and partying hard, it would be at this point that i make wild promises to have this up to date by this time next week, i would also promise to sleep with jessica alba and to fix global warming because hey... that's just the kinda guy i am
